To help make this event safe and enjoyable for everyone, there are a few things we would like you to know.
Unauthorised drones and other remotely piloted aircraft are not permitted at Emergency Expo. This is to ensure the safety of all attendees and to avoid interference with aviation operations. If unauthorised drones are sighted, all aviation activities will be suspended and incoming assets turned away.
Throughout the day, emergency vehicles, aviation assets, and emergency personnel will be moving around the Expo grounds to prepare for demonstrations or respond to real emergency calls. To help keep everyone safe, we kindly ask that all visitors:
1) Enter and exit the event only through the designated main gate, located next to the Lions Club building.
2) Stay out of the aviation area unless clearly permitted to enter, and promptly exit the area when requested to allow for aircraft movements.
3) Do not use the outer gravel track surrounding the exhibition area, as this space is needed for the safe movement of vehicles and equipment.
4) Keep all access gates and roadways clear at all times.
Please be aware that photography and videography will take place at Emergency Expo, both by event organisers and by other attendees or participants. By entering the event area, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or filmed. While we will use any official media responsibly and for promotional or archival purposes, we cannot control or take responsibility for photos or videos taken by other attendees.
Many exhibitors at Emergency Expo are actively on-duty and whilst every effort is made to be onsite for the duration of the event, some may be delayed arriving or may get called away without notice due to operational demands. As such, we cannot guarantee the presence of any specific agency, vehicle, asset or item of interest at a particular time. We appreciate your understanding and support of those who serve our communities.
To ensure the safety and comfort of children and to allow for the smooth movement of emergency vehicles, pets are not permitted at the Emergency Expo. The event environment may get crowded, noisy and unpredictable, which may cause stress for animals and pose risks for attendees. Some exhibits may have dogs on display. Service animals permitted.
We’re putting together a range of exciting live demonstrations to take place throughout the day. As these are confirmed, they’ll be listed below — though exact timings may not be available just yet. We recommend checking back closer to Expo day for the final schedule.
Scouts, Guides, Leaders, and their families are invited
to attend a special preview event before the Expo
opens to the general public. All Scouts, Guides, and Leaders
must be in uniform to access the event. For child safety
reasons, all family members must be accompanied
through the gate by a uniformed member.
Please enter via the main access gate, located between
the toilets and the Lions Club building (see event map).
For safety and security, do not use any other gates or
attempt to jump fences as the outer track will have
frequent vehicle and aviation movements, and clear
access must be maintained at all times.
